Leading SuperCasuals Campaigners Establish Victorian Casuals Council.
Would you like to join the VCC--nominations open now.
We realise that casual members should have a stronger voice within our union and have consequently established a provisional Victorian Casuals Council. The VCC is a representative body that will serve to strategically set the campaign and policy agenda for casual NTEU members in Victoria. It will also build cross campus solidarity among casual members who are often isolated and unaware of the role the NTEU can and must play in supporting and advocating on behalf of casuals.
If you are interested in joining the VCC then we invite you to nominate directly to our NTEU Campaigns Officer Dustin Halse via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5.00pm on Monday the 16th of November 2015. Please provide your name, contact details, and indicate the branch to which you are domiciled. To qualify you need only to be a current casual member a passion to campaign for better working conditions. The VCC will be comprised of two representatives from each NTEU branch in Victoria and if an election is required an e-ballot will be conducted at the end of November.
