22 June: In The Dark?
RMIT branch has kicked off the 'In the Dark' casuals campaign in the lead up to bargaining. The campaign aims to engage casuals to highlight issues they face at RMIT whilst making it clear that being involved in bargaining could give them the opportunity to rectify some of the issues they have face.
If you are a casual at RMIT and you'd like to get involved or find out more. Please email Gaurav Nanda at email@example.com or call 0422 272 091.

RMIT Supercasuals--Hands Up for Secure Work Campaign.
We don't need to tell you that casuals are superheroes. We perform the majority of the teaching work and it's fair to say that without us RMIT wouldn't function. But so many of us have never enjoyed the benefits of secure work--and it's time for that to change.
Bargaining has recently commenced between NTEU and RMIT and we need your involvement now if we are to win better employment conditions. Have your say on the matters that concern you by completing this online survey -- it will take just a few minutes and help us build an accurate picture of casual employees at RMIT. We want to hear from anyone who has worked casually at RMIT in the last few years. Feel free to also pass on the survey link goo.gl/JVGCeQ to your casually employed colleagues and friends.
Secure Work Meetings at RMIT--All casuals invited!
We are also running free catered lunch meetings at RMIT Melbourne and Bundoora campuses in April to discuss issues that impact casuals and what NTEU members can do to support bargaining. All RMIT casual employees are welcome and we strongly encouraged you to get along. RSVP here now and please share the following link with your casual colleagues goo.gl/xp4Dxf.
